I think “citizen’s arrest” is a bit charitable, #35. Kidnapping. They’re kidnapping people. There’s been a huge surge in unexplained disappearances in Long Beach, and I’ve been able to loosely tie each one to Satan S.U.C.K.S.S. How’s that for making connections, #17? Though, speaking of #17… is he… okay? He’s been acting more reclusive than the Owner lately. It’s like he’s become obsessed with figuring out who is behind the Cafe No Diner and how they know who Abigail Hawthorne is. Its… becoming a bit concerning. Then again, I guess it could be part of his “process.”
The funny thing about these kidnappings is that the Suckers haven’t attempted to kidnap us yet. What, are we not good enough to be taken out of Satan’s path? I suppose we might just pose too much of a threat to contain. Assuming that they are containing their victims and not just… well, you know. That’d be pretty dark. Then again, we are dealing with Satan. Hopefully, we’ll be able to find these kidnapping victims alive and well. Even if I feel like I’ve been working overtime, I do love selling coffee.
Of course, we need to play this safe. We’re no Cafe No Diner, we’re the Cafe AND Diner. Playing up the Diner is a major part of who we are and what we do. So, I’ll see if I can pull the Owner and now #17 out of their hermitages so we can have an all-hands meeting about Satan S.U.C.K.S.S. and the Cafe No Diner. Of course, we’ll need to wait until the weekend for the newcomers to be free as well. In the meantime, I’ll keep an eye out for any more mysterious disappearances and see if the Suckers get sloppy. Reading that back, it sounds grosser than I meant it to be. Sorry.
