Summary of Receipt
Middletown attempts to attack Employee 26 and kill Mrs. Boone. Based on this, 26 suspects her new powers are linked to any instabilities the Boundary Lines, since she only shows up near those (and clearly can't just kill them in the Otherside). However, when Middletown goes in for the attack, Mr. Trigano - Ciel - appears and holds her off, giving 26 the time to run for the Airport and send Boone back.

RECEIPT #004

EMPLOYEE #26
As… as expected, the Snallygaster, Mrs. Middletown, did make an attempt to absorb the Ozark Howler to gain its power. I'm not sure how exactly the Snallygaster's new powers work, but I think it has to do with its proximity to instability in the boundary lines. So far, of the three cryptids we've seen the Snallygaster absorb, it's always been right next to a portal or tear in the boundary lines. Plus, why else would the Snallygaster go through the trouble of hunting cryptids in the Flipside when they would be easier to absorb in the Otherside? The good news, no, the great news is I was able to get the Ozark Howler back to the Esterskald before the Snallygaster could Gasterize it. Though it was a close call, and if I didn't have a guardian angel watching out for me, I probably would've been a Snallygaster snack.

Mrs. Middletown: We keep running into each other. Or… could it be that you are following me?
#26: Can you really be that surprised? The Cafe and Diner—
Mrs. Middletown: —sends Cryptids home. Yes. That's what he wants you to believe. But what difference does it make if you send it back to Esterskald or I absorb it?
#26: It doesn't deserve to die to become a part of you.
Mrs. Middletown: It would be a blessing to join me. It's an animal. A beast. A dangerous one, at that.
#26: And you aren't?
Mrs. Middletown: Ha… Ahahaha! Oh, you want to see a beast? I can be a beast.
[Mrs. Middletown's bones cracked as its form shifted into a long serpent-like beast with the head of a wolf.]
Mrs. Middletown: RAH!!
#26: Ahh!
[Mr. Trigano entered the CaDCom Transcription Range.]
Mr. Trigano: Go. Get the Howler home.
#26: Ciel? I—
Mr. Trigano: We can catch up later, Flower. Now, go!
Mrs. Middletown: Stay out of this Enoshian bastard.
Mr. Trigano: Make me, Snally.
