PIP01 (Feb 2, 1996)
Summary of Receipt
62's likely found the earthquakes' source, the Long Beach Pyramid at the California State University. She believes the earthquakes in general to be a natural disaster caused by boundary line damage, but the persistence of the earthquakes means something might be going on. Possibly harmless, like a Plane misalignment, but maybe either a customer or Open Doors itself.

As the Owner mentioned a couple of days ago, I think I’ve pinned down the epicenter of the seismic activity we’ve been experiencing since Miss. Andrew’s service. It would seem most of the tremors originate near the Long Beach Pyramid at CSULB. From what I’ve heard, the Pyramid has been shut down for unexpected repairs since November. Putting two and two together, I think whatever is causing these quakes can be found within the Pyramid. I’ll take #44 with me to investigate it in person tomorrow.
I don’t think this is the work of a customer or the Open Doors Church. If I had to guess, this is merely a strange phenomenon associated with the damage caused to the boundary lines. However, what does strike me as unusual is that this activity seems to have only worsened since November. Fluctuations, tears, and misalignments with the boundary lines are pretty common. It is how most of our Canadian customers end up in the States for service, after all. But usually, these issues tend to fix themselves or at least dampen over time.
So… there is likely something causing this boundary line issue to persist and, based on the increasing severity of the earthquakes, worsen. While it could be a customer or even the Open Doors Church, it could also be something as simple as a misalignment between planes. It sounds worse than it is. As long as this tear in the boundary lines is small enough, we should be able to use our new CaDCom feature to signal air control that this unauthorized airport needs to be shut down. It won’t fix the misalignment, but if the airport is shut down when the misalignment eventually “pops,” it won’t do any major damage to Long Beach.
