I would say that it has been raining cats and dogs lately, but I wouldn’t want to jinx it. At this rate, would it be that unusual for household pets to plummet from the skies? We’ve had tornadoes, waterspouts, fire whirls, lightning storms, flurries, blizzards, and earthquakes—all in the past 24 hours. And, while I struggle to wrap my head around this, it seems to be worsening. Though, if we were to look on the bright side of things, poor weather tends to bring customers into Cafes, and we could always use the business.
Yes, I fear that this weather is a hair too far from what I would deem normal for the usually consistent Southern Californian Coast. As for what customers could be coming with this strange weather, I’m perhaps at a bit of a loss. Of course, the usual suspects are Mrs. Aka, Mrs. Pleasant, and Mrs. Umbra. And we know that Mrs. Pleasant has been acquiring various chemicals and pieces of coffee equipment, though I can’t imagine any of the things she has stolen could cause literal earthquakes. No… there has to be another party involved.
I’ll start flipping through my Rolodexes to see if I have missed any obvious connections. Though in the meantime, I believe #62 has been tracking where this strange weather seems to be emanating from. An unforeseen boon from the sensors we placed for Miss. Andrews. I’m drawing a rather uncomfortable blank on who might be aiding the Dark Triad. While the Owner and I prefer to only serve customers we know, it might be a good idea to get a cup of coffee headed in the right direction before Long Beach sinks in the ocean. Again, not trying to jinx anything.
