Summary of Receipt

Mercutio and Nine successfully enter Mayda. Unlike in the Esterskald it's been harder to gather data, since the Tempest has become an all-encompassing raging storm. Thankfully they didn't need to visit every specific region of Mayda, but they still almost died before being blown out of Mayda into the Sargasso Sea, after which Nine warped them into New Orleans. Incidentally, they ran into Felix Blackwood there, but there wasn't any conflict.

We arrived in the Endless Sea without much trouble, though collecting this data with Nine has been anything but. From all accounts I have heard and read of Mayda, it has always sounded like a rather peaceful plane, at least above the waves. But the Tempest has been whipped into an unforgiving fury since Leviathan’s death. While under normal circumstances, the Tempest should be no bigger than a small island, it is currently all-encompassing on the surface of Mayda’s infinite waters. We found no refuge from the brutal storm; even the Creaking had all but been pushed underwater due to the raging storm. And that shipwreck is supposed to be unsinkable.

Thankfully, Nine did not require data from each region of Mayda—though I did come prepared with a water-breathing spell just in case. No, he only required readings from the surface. He claimed that the verticality of the readings didn’t matter and that just being in the right spot should suffice for his purposes. Still, attempting to sail around to each general area had us absolutely drenched and almost electrocuted. We would not have made it out of Mayda if it hadn’t been for a fortuitous wind that knocked our vessel into the Sargasso portal and back into the Flipside, albeit in the midst of a truly foul patch of Sargassum.

At the very least, Nine was able to warp us from there to the Big Easy, which gave me some much-needed time to catch up with family. I also ran into Tonton Felix. It would seem Blackwood’s assumptions were correct, and the Bingo Hall is more than likely in Blackwood Manor’s Teal Room. No sign of Bingo or the other nihilists, but I could tell Felix was suspicious of my presence in the city. I suppose having Nine at my side didn’t help, but I don’t believe the Bingo Cult actively hates us, yes? At least, not yet.
