Well, well, well! I knew Dover had been dabbling in soul magic, but I never imagined he had gotten this far. From just the notes Capgras was able to source from the strange little demon, it makes his published work seem like child’s play. I suppose a lot of this work must have come from his unique multi-cyclical powers. Though some of these notes even mention discussions with the Hatman Umbra, the former Otherman Jean-Marc, and Belphegor herself. Truly this is invaluable research. Though, apparently, Capgras was given the strict stipulation that we are not to attempt any formal experimentation until Dover himself arrives.

When might that be? Impossible to say. Apparently, Dover has some business he needs to wrap up in Dive Prime before he can return to our cycle. Capgras informed him of the severity of our situation, which did seem to perk up his… ears? Does he have ears? I could swear he was just a bulbous orange head with a tiny body. Anyway… it perked him up, for whatever that’s worth. Apparently, Rune was in his “top ten,” and he “can’t stand to see one of his favs go down a villain arc.”

Still… I’m sure we can begin preparing for experimentation. And we will need to prepare quite a bit. We’ll need, of course, some soul-matter to experiment on. We’ll also need a few ingredients that I recognize… and quite a few I don’t. I assume Dover will be able to help us source the more obscure items like “Singularity Shavings,” “Transmogrified Fractal Components (NON-REPEATING!),” “Quantum VII,” and “True Brine.” As I write these out, I am beginning to question the legitimacy of Dover’s work… but only slightly. Even if there is more madness than a method in his work, that has never been a problem for me.
