AHG01 (Oct 28, 2017)
Summary of Receipt
8 lists a few options they have regarding 134’s weird behavior: continue investigating by themselves, go ask Astoria for help, go ask a certain pair of former CaD members in Astoria for help, do nothing and see what 134 does, or ‘knock on old wood’. 8 suspects that this is likely the ‘Halloween Gambit’ Crow was referring to, and decides to head over to ‘Buckeye’ (ohio?) and meet 125 and 224 there for now.

RECEIPT: HALLOWEENGAMBIT01
STATUS: OPEN
Hey, H-A1Z26 here.
I’m not sure what happened.
We’re not sure what happened.
Last anyone remembers, he was with 323 and 62 in the vault, doing some late-night research into the Jedidiah’s name tag we “borrowed.” But now he’s gone. Thankfully, it would seem 125 and 224 are already well on the case. Still, though, I’m... worried. Worried even if we do reach him, he might not make it back.
It’s all very troubling for a multitude of reasons. Myself and the other managers have been looking over the best options, and we’re still trying to make a decision. But I can’t help but feel as if we’re running out of time. We’ve decided not to involve the Pepper here or there as they can really only help in a “typical” missing person case. This is not that. Also, he’s not strictly missing. Which leaves us with a few other options.
A: Continue investigating this matter internally. Although this could put a significant strain on our resources seeing as he’s halfway across the country.
B: Suck up our pride and ask for some Salt.
C: Suck up our pride AND go beg our former family in Astoria for help. Not a great idea as it could disrupt our operations entirely.
D: Let things play out and see what 134 does. Not a great idea considering how... Patrick Bateman-esque he sounded in his last receipt.
E: See if we can’t knock on old wood.
We’ll obviously keep you all in the loop with what we end up doing, though if this really is some sort of “Halloween Gambit,” we need to act fast. Looking over all the options here... I think it might be best to knock on old wood. It’s kind of the best of all options. Not sure if it’ll work, though. I’ll give that a try, and if it fails, I’ll just head to Buckeye and meet up with 125 and 224. I’m sure we can handle this ourselves just fine.
