I think… I think I've found it? Maybe? It's hard to say, but I was digging through some of the old CaDCom files from the previous Cafes, or at least what we've managed to decrypt, and I came across a really interesting receipt. It looks like it was written by #71 of the First Cafe and Diner and talks about some special moon phases observed by witches in the Esterskald. From what #71 wrote, it seems that there are 13 special moon phases that align both with the Moon in the Flipside and the "moon" in the Otherside. I didn't realize there was a singular moon in the Otherside? Though #71 wrote Moon in quotes, so I'm not sure if it's exactly the same thing as our Moon.
Anyway! The first is Moon's Aegis, performed in what would be January for us, which the Esterskaldian witches use to establish protective barriers around sacred or important sites. Next, in February, there is the Whisper of the Lunar Wind which establishes a connection between spirits between all seven planes of the Otherside. Then in March, there is the Silver Reflection which reveals hidden truths or deception. April has the Moonweave Dance, which has something to do with influencing dreams. Then in May, there is the Celestial Syzygy which #71 says involves the alignment of the Witches and the Moon itself. June has the Tide's Oath, where the witches seal their promises and oaths into the Black Tide. In July, there is the Moonshadow Chase, where the witches chase after Moonshadows of various creatures in the Esterskald, though #71 wasn't sure to what end. In August, there is the Lunar Elixir Rite, a ritual typically performed to create healing potions, salves, and remedies. September has the Silversong Melody, where the witches sing some sort of song to entrance the creatures of the Esterskald. October's Moon Ritual is apparently hard to track down as it's done only in secret, but #71 believes it has to do with engraving. November has the Moondust Communion, which is said to foretell things to come and involves throwing dust into a fire and watching the colors change. December has the Orb's Ascendance, which involves some sort of veneration of the Moon itself.
The 13th Moon ritual is what's most important, I think. It's called the Eclipse's Offering, and it involves corrupting the traditional 12 Lunar Rituals of the Esterskald. I suppose the typical 12 Lunar Rituals are seen as "light," and when invoked in the name of an Eclipse, they become "dark." Why this matters is because of the August ritual, the Lunar Elixir Rite—if that ritual was corrupted with an Eclipse Offering, it could, perhaps, twist into using the powers of the Moon to raise the dead? I'm not entirely sure; #71 didn't actually say what each of the "dark" rituals was, only that they were named but rarely practiced.
