I was really hoping we wouldn’t need to get involved in that orange menace again. There is only so much “Dover” anyone can stomach. Though perhaps my distaste for the pint-sized Blooded Demon comes from his assessment of me being his 26th favorite Cafe and Diner employee. Twenty. Six. Obviously, he has no discernable taste. Though, I suppose I agree with the Pathologist. If there is a person out there, even if they may be an annoying bulbous-headed creep, who knows anything about the process of “rebuilding” a soul, it would be Dover.

The strange demon spent the better part of the past year delving into the subject. In fact, he’s become quite well known in various parts of the Vile City for his expertise in the subject. Not that he has made any significant breakthroughs yet, but prior to his interest in the subject, very little study was done on the matter. I agree with both the Pathologist and Mercutio to some extent. Yes, soul magic is generally regarded as very taboo, and for a good reason, but also, souls are not some precious things that shatter upon the slightest provocation.

Of course, I’ve never personally done much research into the subject myself. I don’t quite care for it. But I still keep tabs on the more academically inclined society of the Hauntaurskald. Dover, despite being quite the little roamer these days, is one of the many children of Eiseth who call the Vile City their home. Many Blooded Demons prefer the Hauntaurskald to other more… restrictive planes. Not to mention Satan’s caste system heavily favors their kind. So, while Capgras is off trying to pull Dover away from his game of superhero make-believe, I’ll stop by the Vile City and see what I can pull up from his published corpus. I’ve been meaning to check in on my dearest anyway.
