ICE01

Summary of Receipt

62 starts investigating the Ice Machine. It's definitely from the Otherside, but that's all that can be discerned right now. Unfortunately it seems to be missing some hard-to-replace parts, but he should be able to get it running in about a week to investigate further.

CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT FROM 9/14/17
MANAGER 62
RECEIPT: ICEMACHINE001
STATUS: BROKEN

We recently received a new Ice Machine in the California store. Made in Ottawa, replacement parts are tough to come by. This Ice Machine was a gift from Mr. Hyer and was given to 323. Parts needed for it can most likely be found at the Column Deep Blue. We could potentially have Barista Technologies develop new parts, although I’m doubtful they’ll be willing to sell them to us. As an alternative option, we could have 323 deliver a singing telegram from the Cafe and Diner and hope for a bargain.

I’m unsure if this Ice Machine is related to the recent “DeepCorp23” issues we’ve been dealing with or if it has something to do with Mrs. Pleasants strange flight path. Just to be safe, we should only connect the Ice Machine to auxiliary networks for the time being. Perhaps the Ice Machine is meant to help with our security? From its appearance alone, it looks like it makes a specific type of ice, although only one type of ice at a time. While I can’t say it’s a great idea, I do think the only way to know what kind of ice this machine makes is to get some water and plug it in. Time will tell, I suppose.

It should only take me a week or so to get it running at its lowest setting. As I mentioned, it seems to be missing some critical parts that let it really crank out some ice. But, hopefully, just plugging it in will give me an idea of how safe this ice will be to use in drinks. The strangest thing about the Ice Machine is actually its name. It’s very literally called “The Ice Machine.” I know that it’s an “ice machine,” as far as the diner is concerned, but I doubt that it actually just makes ice. If so, it’s a very strange gift from a very strange customer.
