CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT FROM */01/17

RECEIPT: QUARTZBRAIN01
STATUS: OPEN
I’ve received a special order for a “Quartz Brain Cocktail.” I’ll need to source some hard-to-find ingredients. Hopefully, some nice patrons or family members might know where we can start looking. I’m going to need Ginger, Nutmeg, Olives, sis! I know, I know, that sounds pretty easy to find ingredients, but I’d really like some top-shelf, top-self stuff. If I can mix this cocktail right, well, let’s just say I’ll be seeing double for days… or mix it wrong, and I might be blacked out for a while.
I want to make this drink, though, to better connect with our customers from Ottawa. Right now, we have to rely on secondhand information about Ottawa and its customers from what we’ve read about in travel logs and heard from customers. Even the CaDComs only seem to have limited information about Ottawa, and I feel like it’s time to take the training wheels off of this operation. I’m sure Ocho’s investor limited our information for a good reason or whatever, but after what happened with Casey? We should probably know exactly what we’re up against. And Quartz Brain happens to be the national drink of Ottawa. Of course, not many Americans have tried this drink before either.
Now, if you don’t mind, I would very much like to loosen my tie and hop right into some mixology for the Cafe. I can’t think straight with all this proper punctuation and capitalization. It seriously kills my loveable free spirit. And mixology is more of a suggested art than a science. So, with that said, I’ll see all you lovely dovely is QUARTZBRAIN02, where I can get real freaky with it.
A formal and much too restrained,
~J.W.
