Perhaps all this talk of the Otherworld has me concerned for more reasons than… just… the… obvious. Well, that is a nasty sensation of déjà vu. I wonder what could have caused us to shift so far… left? Or was that a rotation to the right? I can’t tell anymore in this body. Anyway, there is obviously a lot I can’t say yet, but you all know that’s just how I work. If I were concerned for your safety, I would let you know what’s wrong immediately. Of course, to do what I need to do, I need to move things in such a way that does not catch Muldra’s ever-watchful eyes.
As such, I’ve taken the liberty of stealing the face of the Roamer. I’ve tasked No. 17 to move it to our sister location for safekeeping. Knowing that No. 5 is the one who originally lost it, he’ll either keep that a secret or admit to it and try to do something rash to retrieve it. I am hoping for the latter. If No. 5 keeps it a secret, I am hoping the rage of the Roamer reaches a point where the investors would need to involve themselves, which should hopefully drag Muldra into a conflict he doesn’t want to mess with. Though ideally, No. 5 will attempt to get the face back using slightly illicit means leading us to just the demon I needed to talk to. In any case, this is all hopefully in an attempt to get No. 5 on our side.
As for the strange Mr. & Mr. Inn, it would seem that each plane of this Otherworld is tied to a specific realm of mythology. We know that the Otherside is simply… ugh, there’s that feeling again. Well, one problem at a time. We know that the Otherside is simply a reflection of the Flipside and that the Topside exists around the two, so where would that leave the Otherworld spatially? There’s only one place that could contain an entire second “world,” and that is the depths of the Ouroboros itself. All signs might be pointing toward the Morningstar, but I have a strong suspicion that our other Investor, Sophie, knows more about this Otherworld than she has been letting on.
