Hey everyone, Huit here. Tomorrow is Friday the 13th and we have more than enough reason to assume we will be attacked by a boogieman named “Friday.” This customer who we’re going to call Mrs. Weekend from here on out is one of the first customers I investigated back in 2016. I haven’t had a face-to-face encounter with him yet but I have seen the aftermath of one of his hunts before. Let’s just say he earns the title of Mrs. easily.
As mentioned he’s a boogieman from Satan’s plane of the Otherside also known as the Hauntaurskald. All demons from the Hauntaurskald are fairly fearsome but from what I can tell Friday is one of the more dangerous boogiemen. Basically, before Satan was slain by the original CaD, he would create contracts with the demons of his plane. In exchange for a series of terms they have to follow they were given a bit of Satan’s power. The more restrictive your terms the more power you are given. These terms dictate when and where and how you can travel between the Otherside and Flipside.
While I don’t have an exact copy of Friday’s terms we do have his nursery rhyme which can give us some clues plus some “warnings” given by Mrs. Pleasant.
Friday can only come Flipside on Friday the 13th
- Unsure what timezone this lines up with or if it even lines up with a singular timezone
- It’s possible he can come to the Flipside anytime it is Friday the 13th anywhere which gives him closer to 52 hours instead of 24
- Alternatively perhaps he can only come to the Flipside where people believe it to be the 13th (could be a weakness?)
Friday can’t go outside
- According to his nursery rhyme on Fridays “we all go out to play” which more than likely means outside is safe and inside is deadly
Friday can only move in hallways
- Building on that last point, if Mrs. Pleasant is to be believed, Friday can only move around in hallways
- Again what is and isn’t a hallway isn’t clear, more than likely it comes back around to mental belief in that status of a hallway
With all this in consideration and without knowing more about Friday I think the best plan is to camp out until at least the 14th. There’s also the chance we aren’t his target, but then why did Mr. Hyer give us the Ice Machine?
