Summary of Receipt

The CaD makes it to the Mammonsoleum in the Infernus, where Jethro and Lazarus Langley, as well as both Mammon and his Scepter, are located. They’re bribing the Infernus ghosts for directions. Also, Theo’s still searching for a secret thing to test his theory.

Thanks to No. 17’s sigil and a bit of help from No. III’s magic, we have all made it safely to the Mammonsoleum in Infernus. I will say that it is a bit bigger than we were anticipating. While No. 5 has been here before, he had the help of No. 2 in navigating to Mammon’s throne. Thankfully we are not as hopeless and lost as it may seem, the Mammonsoleum is roughly rectangular, and Mammon’s throne should lie towards the center back. If we pick a direction and stick to it, we should find the golden imp sooner rather than later.

Of course, even after we find the location of Mammon’s throne, we still need to track down Jethro and Lazarus Langley. That should prove a bit more difficult as non-gold-encased entities tend to move around more freely. However, despite the odd glances we’ve received thus far, the demons Mammon has collected over the years tend to be a helpful bunch. That is, for a price. No. 5 planned accordingly and brought a few rare Myerscough trinkets to barter with. Ideally, we’ll find someone who can help us locate the Langleys before we run out of heirlooms with which to grease the wheels.

No. III has also been oddly quiet. They seem focused on locating someone or something that isn’t the Scepter or the Langleys. As mentioned in their previous receipt, they are here to test some sort of theory of IV and V. Despite an alleged increase in transparency, we still have no idea what they are looking for, and they won’t tell us. Oh well. At least, No. III has assured me that once they find what they are looking for, they will pen a receipt about it—how much would you bet it’ll be Diner Diner?

That’s all.
