Summary of Receipt

Galao says that Asmodeus basically took over the part of the Otherside, the Amaymon/Necropolis, where the mortal souls go to. Apparently, the Otherside is layered for souls to go upwards and eventually reincarnate, but Asmodeus stopped that at the Necropolis, so. Beelzebulb and Red Eye are still trying to do the whole reincarnation thing, but not much progress there. Galao’s worried that Asmodeus might try to take over the Flipside to make space for all her hoarded souls.

RECEIPT AS OF: 7/02/01
BARISTA ON DUTY: Galao
RECEIPT FILED AS: C-DWD-02

Ugh. Asmi. She is a lot to deal with. Her, Satan, and Mammon are probably my least favorite siblings. While I hate to label any of my family as outright "evil," they all probably qualify as absolutely actually factually evil. At least Asmi is the least evil of the bunch. Though she's still a brat who takes whatever she wants. Huh. I guess that also goes for Mammon. Satan just has anger issues.

I feel like we all more or less know Asmi's whole deal, right? Maybe not Carajillo. I'm… not sure what he does and doesn't know. He's not much of a talker, is he? Anyway, the short version of her story is she "found" the afterlife. And by "found," of course, I mean she took by force the afterlife. And, yeah, I know the Otherside, in general, is sort of thought of as a catch-all afterlife but what Asmodeus specifically took was where mortal souls reincarnated, the Amaymon. She then basically decided that all human souls should stay in the Amaymon instead of traversing upward through the planes of the Otherside to reach enlightenment and eventually reincarnation. And so, the Otherside is now full of dead people that she gets to control like cattle. Fun.

Of course, this isn't at all how the Otherside was supposed to work. So now Asmi has to constantly expand her kingdom, known as the Necropolis, to fit all of her dead people. Luckily, she doesn't get EVERY mortal soul, but she still gets to keep the majority of them. Unless the human died at sea, by an act of nature, with an "impure" soul, or with a "pure" soul. And, of course, my other siblings like to hold on to the few souls they do get, and, long story short, it's really hard to get out of the Otherside and get reincarnated as a human again. Unless you're lucky enough to end up in my plane, the Morningstar. I do everything I can to get my people moving on through the great cosmic cycle, unlike Mammon, Satan, and Asmi, who horde and collect demons like little prizes. I'm pretty sure Beelze also tries to get his demons up and out, but it's a bit harder when they can't cross the Skald. No clue what Levi does with his demons.

So, my beloved Poet is dead. As far as I'm aware, he didn't die by an act of nature. He didn't die at sea, that I'm pretty sure of. His soul wasn't entirely pure enough to reach the Morningstar. And thankfully, I doubt it was so impure to end up in the Hauntaurskald. So, he's gotta be in the Amaymon somewhere in Asmi's Necropolis. Considering how many demons Asmi has, we're going to have to figure out where the Poet ended up exactly. We should also figure out what Asmi is doing Flipside. I'm… worried she's run out of space in the Amaymon and is trying to expand into the land of the living. I know that sounds stupid, but, hey, that's Asmi for you.
