Well, I wish I could say I’ll miss that old church, but to be honest, it’s got more bad memories than good. It was also a bit creepy working out of an abandoned church. Really, it was no place to sell coffee. This does, however, mean that the Long Beach branch is now entirely without a location. And, let’s be honest, we can’t work out of the Langley’s house forever. No… it’s time to move on to bigger and better things. Well. I don’t know about better. Bigger, sure.
The good news is I already have a new property lined up, and contracts will be signed tomorrow. The property manager is an old friend of ours, but most landlords turn out to be friends in the end anyway. So, might as well just get it out of the way, right? Sometimes you gotta sell your soul to keep the dream alive. It’ll take a few days after contracts are signed to move everyone in. There’s also the matter of branding, I suppose. Not sure if we’ll need to update our logo, but there will need to be some minor adjustments to the Archive site.
In other more positive news, our new location will also feature some new tech. Interdimensional tech. Warping tech. So, we should be able to once again zip around the Flipside and Otherside, serving coffee. We’ll also be getting the Warping tech outfitted at Palm Beach and Long Island’s locations the first week of December. Happy early holidays. I wish I could take credit for pulling the strings to make this happen, but I can help but feel like it’s my strings that are being pulled at this point. I know it’s been a very stressful year for us, and I wish I could say next year will be better, but the coffee will be as black as ever.
