Well, that was a bust. Either I don’t have enough power to make Doppio’s charm work, or Mrs. Weyer simply wasn’t there. And I’m pretty sure Nabby was there. I think the issue is actually with me. I don’t have a whole lot of power when I’m glamored up like this. I could, I guess, stop my glamor for a bit, but my natural form is, uh, conspicuous. Very conspicuous. I mean the plumage alone would probably turn a few heads, not to mention the lights, and, well, it’s a whole thing. And if we’re trying to not alert Asmi to our investigation, well, that wouldn’t work, would it?
I guess I’m not against the idea per se. I just don’t know if it’d be the right move. I guess Red Eye could maybe give it a shot? Though we’ve kind of missed our chance this week, and if it wasn’t working for me, I can’t imagine it’d work for her. I mean, comparatively, my glamor is like light makeup compared to hers. No offense! Just she’s got a lot more, uh, oomph, to glamor up. So, I guess we might just need to wait until Lungo is back. Is Lungo coming back? I wasn’t super clear on his whole “replacement” thing, is he like still gonna be around? Or…? I mean, I guess I know he technically doesn’t live in L.A., but I don’t see why that would really stop him.
Also, that reminds me, we should really start thinking about getting our own Cafe set up. We’re too spread out, and it makes coordinating things difficult. I mean, it took us like four years to get the original Cafe set up, so there isn’t like a super rush or anything, but it’s hard to feel like a big Cafe family when I hardly ever see any of you, you know? Maybe we could even set up in Oregon? Get a change of pace and be a bit closer to our friends? Plus, if it helps keep Lungo on the staff, I think it’d be a good move.
