Not to worry, Espresso. I can handle acquiring our Assorted Fruits for Mrs. Helm. Fortunately, I have some business I need to attend to near Borrego as well. Additionally, I would like to keep a close eye on Carajillo. He’s undoubtedly a catalytic variable in our current Cafe. Though I agree, I believe Carajillo would benefit from getting out in the wider world. He has hardly, if ever, been outside of Santa Clarita. I know Borrego isn’t exactly a whole new world, but hopefully, it’ll expand his vision.
As for my other business, usually, I would keep that to myself. However, it does actually concern the Cafe. You see, I am trying to replace myself. Not that I don’t enjoy working for the Cafe and Diner, but I do fear my interests and concerns are split a little too thin to be of any actual use to the Cafe. I am not resigning. In fact, I expect to work with the Cafe and Diner until the tides of Fate change. Though I would feel more comfortable with a hand-picked assistant of mine taking over the majority of my Cafe duties. That way, I can assure that all aspects of the Cafe are running smoothly.
I have a few candidates already in mind. Of course, the ideal candidate would have some prior experience with the Cafe and Diner, but I believe I must settle for someone who is merely familiar with the Coffee Trade. This potential candidate near Borrego certainly knows his way around Coffee. I can’t say more yet, out of respect for his privacy, but I have two more possible candidates set up if he doesn’t make for a good fit. Though, as I said, I am trying to replace myself, and I am rather hard to replace. I’ll make an official update once I’ve chosen my replacement and cleared it with 8, Red Eye, and Galao. Though I wouldn’t expect it to take me any longer than perhaps a week or two.
