So I’m all that’s left… Not a problem. It’s like Jean always told me, “If it’s easy, it’s too late.” Well, I won’t be making the same mistakes as last time or at least I’ll try not to.
In case I don’t make it I should let you know what happened. Someone told Muldra and/or Sophie about the Darn Defiance. Muldra knew Felix, Jean, Jenni, and Jericho were involved but I managed to slip through the cracks thanks to my sister. Sophie reset all of their memories involving the Darn Defiance. Worst of all she removed Jean’s special memories. This was a terrible loss. Nicole still doesn’t know what the Darn Defiance is and I think it’s better to keep it that way for now. I’ve given Seth the key to find this and all of our previous reports and information. He promised he won’t use it so long as I ping his CaDCom every night. Think of it like a dead-man’s switch. If my DD memories get wiped I’ll forget to ping Seth and he’ll find out about our work and he should continue wherever I leave off. I think we’re going to have to keep playing hot potato until we can get ahead of Muldra and Sophie.
Seth, when you read this, do the same as I did with you. Pick someone you trust in CaD and set up a similar situation. We need to keep this going.
Anyway, on to old business. Old business is old business, and new business is new business, and we don’t discuss new business until it is safe to do so. Jean was able to speak with Beezelbub before he was, unfortunately, `reset”. Beelzebub is, shall we say, uncertain about our proposal. No doubt Muldra has also gone and spoken with him now. However, the only way Beezelbub would align with Muldra is if Muldra gave him the Hauntaurskald and it would betray Muldra’s greed far too much to do so. Unfortunately, I don’t believe Felix had a chance to speak with Shaka yet… so that wonderful task falls upon me. I think it’d be best to avoid direct contact with Shaka, plus I don’t feel like going all the way back to Washington just for a quick chat. No… I think I’ll have the Actuaries pay him a visit on my behalf. They should be able to get the information we need.
There’s still a lot I’m unable to say publicly. Seth, after reading this please tune your CaDCom to frequency 688.93. It will give you the information you need to find our physical files so you can get caught up. I’ll fix this Jean. I promise.
