RECEIPT:WITCHINTHEWOODS04
STATUS: ON-THE-ROAD
I told y’all it just takes a bit of patience. Mr. Hinds, also known as the Witch of Hinds Road, did end up manifestin’ at night. We had a little chat, which you can check out below. I reckon she must have dealt with the Florida Cafe at some point, or at the very least, the Manager. Anyway, she was able to help, though I ain’t gonna pretend like it’s good news. Miss. Masoch is or has become, an envoy of sorts of a very nasty Elder by the name of Wicked. It certainly puts 1313’s poem into perspective, I reckon.
S.O.T.
Mr. Hinds: RARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHhhhh… what, not scary enough for you?
3311: Nah, it’s ain’t you darlin’ it’s me, I reckon. Seen a lot worse. I suppose you are the Witch of this here Hinds Road?
Mr. Hinds: Yes… and who might you be?
3311: I’m what you might call a coffee pedlar. Perhaps you’ve heard of my establishment, the Cafe and Diner?
Mr. Hinds: Ah… the Cafe and Diner… Where is [The Manager]?
3311: Classic point of confusion. We’re from the West Coast branch. We saved [Fly] from that there, Al Crow.
Mr. Hinds: Ah… yes, yes. Now, I see. I suppose you think I am in your debt because my master is in yours? That is not how it works.
3311: Nah, nothin’ of the sort. We’re here more on a cosmic hunch, I reckon. See, we’ve got this customer back in the west, a Miss. Masoch, what have you, and she is givin’ us a heck of a lotta trouble. The Cafe down in these parts figured you might be able to help. How? Beats me.
Mr. Hinds: Hm… Perhaps I can help. For a price.
3311: Whatcha want?
Mr. Hinds: [The Manager].
3311: What, to kill?
Mr. Hinds: For a date.
3311: Right… Well, I reckon… I could see about that. Though I can’t make any promises. Though, you would help us with Le Loyon?
Mr. Hinds: Le Loyon?
3311: You know him?
Mr. Hinds: Oh yes. Though I knew him when he was a Witch.
3311: He was a Witch, like yourself?
Mr. Hinds: Yes. We were both servants of the Lord of the Flies. We crossed paths a few times in our service though Le Loyon fell down a darker path. A wicked path.
3311: Wicked, you say? Wicked as in…
Mr. Hinds: The Wicked. The Mad King Draped in Yellow Flames. The Unspoken. The Eternal Flame. The Caustic Blight. The One Who Burns-
3311: Yeah, I getcha. He’s got a lotta names. The Elder, right?
Mr. Hinds: Yes.
3311: Shoot. That ain’t good. That ain’t good at all. Do you reckon Le Loyon became the Wicked’s flame bearer?
Mr. Hinds: I am certain of it. And now he is after your Cafe?
3311: In a way, yes.
Mr. Hinds: My, my, my. Well, seeing as you know the Wicked, you know how things will likely end for you and your Cafe.
3311: Eh. We’re the Cafe and Diner, darlin’. We’ll find a way to tamp out that flame. Don't you worry about us.
Mr. Hinds: If you say so. Though, do let [The Manager] know about our date before you are burnt to ashes.
3311: I’ll see what I can do for you. You really like him, huh?
Mr. Hinds: I find him charming, yes.
3311: Huh. Okay. Right, well, thank ‘ya kindly for your help.
