It turns out that warping 10 people at once is EXHAUSTING. That, or, I'm still worn out from Friday's game of keep away. In any case, we all made it to Florida in one piece. Also, I hate to say it, but… I think I like their Cafe better. I don't know... It's got this mysterious, exotic mystique with all the weird Angel stuff and sigils everywhere. Like, it looks like a Needful Things type antique shop. I am worried that half the stuff in here is hella cursed, though, so I'm keeping my hands to myself.
Anyway, we came here to discuss the Dark, which I guess is no longer a thing? So, from my understanding, the Florida crew broke into the Akashic Records in the Topside. How? No clue. I can't even warp into the Topside. Not... that I've tried or anything. One thing led to another, and the Manager of the Florida Cafe set the whole place on fire. Lost in the fire was the First Bible, which was Miss. Umbra's whole goal or whatever. So with that gone, there's really no point in having a sinister group of baddies to hunt it down anymore.
Did Miss. Umbra die in the fire? Questionable. According to the Big Guy, also known as Ex-26, anyway. It's hard to kill a shadow. However, Florida's H.R. was explaining how Mrs. Aka's contract with Miss. Umbra expired because Mrs. Aka finally had the answer to Umbra's question of where the First Bible was. So Aka's on her own again. And no one is quite sure what happened to Pleasant. Florida's Payroll mentioned that she saw Pleasant take something from the Records, and then she left before the whole conflict actually went down. My guess is that she was playing Umbra this whole time to get into the Records. Again, why? I don't know. I only ever "interned" as the Barista at the Florida Branch a few times.
Now I'm personally confused as to whether the First Bible was the holy artifact, the records, the dagger, or… what. I don't know. In general, the Court of Angels is extremely upset at the burning of the Akashic Records. I know that much. And it's kind of annoying, but the Angels see the Cafe and Diner as one entity, not two, so I guess we're all on the hook for their (the Manager's) reckless actions. However, once this whole Angel thing blows over (you know, if it blows over), the Florida Cafe said they'd be happy to help with our Masoch problem. They even offered to let us stay in Florida if things get too hot down in L.A.
