Summary of Receipt

V reassures the CaD that if Satan is trying to break the Gates of Hell, he’s an idiot, and likely being influenced or manipulated by Eve. For one, you can’t break the Gates of Hell without the Seven Keys of Hell. Also, Manager 7’s not the best choice to break the Gates even if she could - it would be ‘like lockpicking with dynamite’. V says that their main concern is finding the eighth Last Cafe member, though getting him to join their Cycle’s Last Cafe might be challenging. Still, V has an ace up his sleeve.

Satan has no idea what he is doing. It wouldn’t surprise me if Satan thought he was putting a square peg into a round hole, only for that round hole to actually be another square entirely. I wonder what she has told him. I have no doubt she has been whispering honeyed promises in his ear. Probably the second he returned to the Flipside. In any case, he might truly believe he is breaking the Gates to Hell. But as multiple people have pointed out by now, that is a fool’s errand without Hubris. Not saying he lacks Hubris, though. He’s brimming with it.

Also, if I were to break the Gates of Hell using a Half-Prince, Julia is not the Half-Prince I would choose. Not that I have thought extensively about it. And not that Julia isn’t a fantastic power. I’m sure she would easily break the Gates to Hell if the proper preparations were made. But that would be like lockpicking with dynamite. Of course, it could work, but it lacks subtlety and safety. Again, not saying that I have thought too hard about how I would go about breaking the Gates myself, but if it eases everyone’s worries, Satan hasn’t even begun the proper preparations to do so using Julia.

In any case, none of that matters right now. What matters right now is finding our eighth and final member. Once he is on our side, he can handle any little ploy of Satan. Of course, getting him to accept my offer and reject the offers of other Last Cafes will be challenging. Hell, he’ll probably get offers from all sides once he decides to show back up. I can’t say our offer is the most lucrative, but I do have an ace up my sleeve. I’d prefer not to use it, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
