RECEIPT AS OF: 10/13/01
BARISTA ON DUTY: ESPRESSO
RECEIPT FILED AS: DOTD-05

Sleeping spirits, it’s good to finally be able to sit down for a spell. I haven’t had that much fun in a while, though it’s probably enough fun to last me until the next cursed nightclub experience. Now, we just need to figure out how to get out of here. And the sooner, the better, I’d imagine. Things are getting very wonky at the Ballast. Ever since the band stopped playing, tourists have been passing out cold from exhaustion. Now, that shouldn’t be too shocking after all the dancing we’ve been doing, but they shouldn’t be this tired. Not yet.

I think the dancing was somehow powering up that Mr. Nusa fellow. Something or other like that because I’ve noticed the club has started to shrink. Just a little bit, mind you. It seems like it’s started to stabilize with how much people are moving around now, but it probably won’t continue to grow without the furious dancing of the damned. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, but the sense of time is really starting to pick up now. It feels like my ears are popping!

Though, I think I’ve figured out what was keeping the new arrivals moving once they got into the club. I was keeping a close eye on Mrs. Weyer, and whenever a new tourist or customer would pop in, she’d be real quick to offer them a drink on the house. I grabbed one of those drinks and did a little sniff test, and I’m pretty sure it was the smell of Mr. Tafur’s special serum. Though, she’s done something to these cocktails so they don’t freeze you—quite the opposite, really. Now, I don’t remember having a drink when we came in. Maybe we were frozen for a bit after all. Whatever the case, Mrs. Weyer is the one keeping this club going; perhaps we should have a little chat with her, huh?
