Byen sûr! Combining the sigils! Not only do I believe that it could work, but I also believe that it could work exceptionally well! Of course, Silenziosa is right. With my magic alone, it would be impossible. Not the physical act of combining the sigils, no, that should be easy enough, but… ah, how to put this… Think of a Public Key Sigil as “1.” If I take half of “1,” I would have “1/2,” no? Then you would think “1/2” + “1/2” = “1” again. Alas, magic is never that simple. If I take half of a Public Key Sigil, I still have the entire Sigil’s antansyon. “1” + “1” = “2.”
Two is no good. Two wouldn’t take me to a combination of “1/2” and “1/2”. It’d take me to the combination of “1” and “1.” If I take Infernus and mix it with Hauntaurskald, I would end up in… Ouroboros? Perhaps? Or the Esterskald. Not the Valley of Gilded Thorns, which lies between the Hauntaurskald and Infernus. So, I would need a way to draw away the antansyon of the sigils. And that is what Silenziosa can provide. Due to her status in the Vile City, she can easily pull the antansyon of the sigil one way, perhaps enough to push us right into the heart of the Valley of Gilded Thorns.
It is a fairly risk-free plan, for what it’s worth. The only problem is drawing that much power in one direction. If Zagan is a high demon worth his salt, he’ll be able to sniff that out easily. Though he won’t have the time to stop us if we work quickly, I imagine he won’t allow us to try again should we fail. Though to be certain it will work, I will need time to make the proper “push and pull” calculations. I realize we are under a time constraint… but I should be ready by Wednesday.
