That’s my papa! I can’t believe he’s… well, he’s not where he’s supposed to be, that’s for darn sure. I guess it’s been a month since my precious darling queen of hell brought the issue to our attention. So, if you need a refresher, go back to early February, and check out the other QOH receipts. The quick version of it is my papa, Bart Langley is chopping down the Cimmerian Woods in the Amaymon. Now we, as Cafe, have decided to stay out of the whole “Shadow War” business as much as we can. Basically, we don’t want to tangle with Umbra if we can avoid it because last time the Cafe did that, a whole section of the Akashic Records burnt down. We also don’t need to draw the ire of the Shadowfolk or their Morbid King. However, it seems like Fate is pushing us into this conflict if only to stop my papa from cutting down the woods.
See, Fate inspired that spooky kid No. 1313 to write a whole poem about my family. I thought it was neat, though it doesn’t really say much other than fun little quips about all the Langley kids. Well, me and my siblings anyhow. It doesn’t mention the later generations. I can’t say I know exactly what we’re supposed to do, but if I had to take a guess, we need to pay a visit to my siblings. I know we’re usually at odds with Fate, but the issue is we can’t let my papa, Bart, keep chopping down the Cimmerian Woods. Heck, he’s not supposed to even be in the Necropolis. He died at the hands of a falling tree, so he’s supposed to be in ol’ man Beelze’s care. Bartholomew Langley was a fierce man and a ferocious lumberjack. If we don’t put a stop to his chopping, no one will.
Now, the conundrum is that my siblings are pretty spread out, and I’ve lost touch with some of them. Of course, some of them are also long since dead nowadays, though that shouldn’t really hinder us. I have a decent idea where most of them ended up in the Otherside. Let’s see… there should be six of us still alive and seven dead. Of my dead siblings, I know where… hm… Well, I probably know where two of them are. So that leaves Laz, Theo, Jet, and Mari as unknowns. I’m guessing that Annie and Ennie ended up in Morningstar, and that’s probably one of the easier places for us to check first. I’m sure most of the others are in the Necropolis somewhere, but that place is HUGE. I’ll see if I can get my princess to let us take a peek at the Chronicles of the Dead to help speed things along.
