I’m impressed you managed to track me down. Clever use of connections. It’s something not a lot of people seem to realize about them—they go both ways. So, pardon my ignorance, what exactly is “this?” It’s not a Cafe and Diner. It’s not quite Division Ampersand, either. Is it just a reunion for the sake of reunion, or is someone pulling the strings? It could be Jenni, though I doubt she would attempt to drag anyone else into Ampersand. It could be the Serpent’s work. He’s always been a schemer, hasn’t he? Or perhaps it’s the other side—the Angel.
Or, maybe Amber is pulling the grandest imitation of Shaka yet. Here’s the good news—I’m fully caught up on your recent affairs. You’ve been posting them rather publicly, after all. However, what’s in the Archives doesn’t quite paint the full picture unless you really do want everyone back together to merely pick their brains as to what to do next. If it were up to me? I would let the coffee go cold. We all know the lengths the original Owner went to in an effort to prevent that—but we are not him. We can let things go.
Though, the connections are clear. He hasn’t. He won’t. He’s sided with ill-intent. He’s sided with Jack. That’s what you’re afraid of, isn’t it? Letting Jack Octo and Jean-Marc Chausson run their schemes unchecked. I suppose that is a threat worth stopping. Without Fate in the way, I, too, worry about what he is planning. Well, I will get in touch with Aelan and see if she would like to impede our original Owner’s machinations. I’m sure she’ll jump at the chance.
