Well… that could have probably gone better. We are all still alive, I suppose. Uneaten by insects. Unburned by fires. Though, we did lose the Sebitti. In our defense, I don’t see how we could have reasonably removed a massive baobab tree and brought it back with us. I suppose that would’ve been a problem for a different outcome. Fenrir attacked us and seemingly absorbed another of the Sebitti’s powers. So, if we were to keep score, we’d be tied up, it seems. Hopefully, we can reach the remaining three before he can.

Pathologist: Well, I believe our Sebitti must lie inside the tree.

Dingane: So, should we cut into it?

Mercutio: Ah, but what if there are insects inside the tree?

Dingane: Good point. Maybe we should—

[A large bolt of yellow fire struck the tree.]

Pathologist: Fenrir.

Dingane: Julius…

Fenrir: Move aside.

Mercutio: Hurry! Get the Sebitti. I can handle his magic.

Fenrir: [Mercutio]. You no longer carry the Blight. Step aside.

Mercutio: You should know, zanmi, the Blight never leaves.

[Mercutio removed his bandana as his exposed jaw bones began to glow a stygian yellow.]

Fenrir: Don’t do this.

Mercutio: I could say the same.

Fenrir: You could’ve been saved.

[Fenrir unleashed a circle of bright xanthic flames surrounding the Folistes. Mercutio’s exposed bones turned a charred black as his Blight reignited. Fenrir and Mercutio began trading blows of Blighted magic.]

Dingane: We can’t find it! We need to leave!

[Fenrir clenched his fist as the circle of Blightflame rushed to the baobab tree, harmlessly passing the Folistes.]

Fenrir: Warden. Now.

[From the clouds of blackflies, Warden appeared and amplified the dissonance between Fenrir and the tree. In a moment, the tree was consumed by bright gold flames.]

Fenrir: We got what we needed. Let’s go.
