Super glad Hazelnut is back and safe, but also—seriously, dude?! Right back to the Cafe?! Agh! Okay. Okay… no, it’s okay. Hazelnut [probably] did the right thing. He couldn’t take them on his own—even in his true form. And we don’t have to deal with Flurrdo’s Frozen One. Ha! Frozen One, that’s a good pun—though we really don’t have time for puns right now, do we?

They’re chanting. Low, rhythmic, and way too melodic to be random. I don’t know what it means, but it feels heavy, like the air itself is pressing against my chest. We’re boxed in—no way out through the front or the back. And the wards? The ones we set up after the last Princely incident? Fried. They didn’t even flicker when the first robed figure stepped over the parking lot’s threshold. Now everyone’s looking at me. Right. I’m the Owner. Oh Devil… okay. Okay… Oh!

The shards! We have enough for everyone now. Lavender says she knows how to use them like Mr. Cold did. He used a shard to escape—if you can call what he did “escaping.” He tuned himself out of this Continent entirely, hopping to… somewhere else. And now the shards Hazelnut stole are humming, vibrating on our counter like they know we need them.

It’s not a “good” plan. It’s barely a plan. But wherever the shards take us, it has to be better than here and now.
