Well, 0’s strange report aside, we do actually have some updates about SON or the Son of Neptune case. Two updates actually. One about the Sunkenman himself and the other about the coveted Pearl of Poseidon.

So what ended up happening to the Sunkenman’s tab? Was it paid in full? Well, unfortunately we… can’t say. Not because we don’t want to, but because we don’t know. I’d assume the Alkahest destroyed him. That’s kinda the whole thing about Alkahest, it can dissolve anything. At the same time… the Sunkenman is a boogieman of Satan. Not only that, a boogieman with unknown terms. He could’ve escaped back to Hauntaurskald. Or the Mayda? Or maybe he wasn’t bluffing and he was, or is, some part Finfolk. If that’s the case death won’t stop him that easily. What I could gather of the situation is this: The Sunkenman of Algiers is a Maydaian Boogieman who was possessed by Agenor an Otherbeing of Olympus, son of Poseidon and consequently brother to Desponia. The two were fighting over a ring, the ring isn’t important, it's the Pearl inlay. The Pearl of Poseidon. Which we had this whole time… So basically fighting over nothing. The Pearl was in Leviathan's possession which we still aren’t sure how he ended up with it… or how we ended up with it for that matter. Regardless. We have the Pearl, Leviathan is back in Mayda, Sunkenman is… gone? Desponia is at peace. Oh, and Team 3 for whatever reason stole a notebook from Mayda which might answer some or none of these questions.

Now, about the Pearl. The Pearl is one piece of the Olympian Antekeys. The Antekeys, at least that’s what we’ve been calling them, open some sort of antechamber in the center of the Otherworld. Considering there are four planes of the Otherworld, we assume there are four Antekeys but it would seem the keys can be split into many pieces. The good news is the key fragments lead to each other. But how? Well, Leviathan maybe tipped his hand a little too much and let it slip that blood awakens the keys. Not just any blood of course, Otherworld blood. So we had Desponia lend us a drop of her blood and sure enough the Pearl began glowing. It’s hard to describe but when you hold it in your hand you can “see” where to go. The next fragment, the fragment of the Sky, is apparently in Taos, New Mexico. Chances are we might run into Agenor again or any other number of Olympian troublemakers. So we’ve decided it’s best if only senior CaD staff go after the next key.
