Well… that was a total failure. Whatever magic or godly powers Hades used to create the Elysian Descent are able to nullify my warping. Kinda makes me wonder if the Otherworld’s “magic” is a lot less rule-oriented than our usual magic is. I guess you could say that we typically exist in what they call a “hard magic” system in movies, right? Magic has clearly defined rules, limitations, and consequences. But this Otherworldly magic seems to be a “soft magic” system. Things happen only because they are meant to for the sake of the “story.”

I don’t know for sure, though. Magic tends to be well above my head, and I only really get lumped in with the magic folks because of my warping powers. It’s something worth exploring, though, and I made sure No. 71 took note of it for her “Super Top Secret British Eyes Only” Espresso Affairs. I’m not even sure I could warp around the Otherworld at this point—not without No. 7’s magic tattoo. Which, while I’m thinking about it, also feels very… deus-ex-machina-y, doesn’t it? She goes missing for a month and then returns with a magic tattoo that just happens to control Myths? Hm.

Speaking of No. 7, though, God, I wish I got stuck with their group. This whole No. 3 and No. 1313 is becoming such an uncomfortable cringefest. Yeugh. No. 1313 is really starting to lose her patience with No. 3, and of course, No. 3 is trying to diffuse the situation but making it so, so, so much worse. Well—hopefully, wherever they are, they aren’t having to deal with a constant back and forth. Hey, maybe they actually made it to the Palace of Hades or somewhere a little more interesting than we did.
