Summary of Receipt

Manager 1 informs the CaD of Astoria’s intentions: to attempt to force the CaD to merge with it. WRF, KCR and DDM were all manufactured to try and emphasise that the CaD, now without Seth Warren, Jean and Nicole Langley, cannot handle true threats - such as the Cold. Manager 1 decides to ask the Dark Watchers to figure out a way to consult with the other Managers discreetly regarding a possible merger.

Well, I've connected the dots, tied the string, and come to a conclusion regarding our peculiar run-ins with the Indigos lately. They want us. They know we are down Jean, Seth, and Nicole, and they want to leverage that into us joining them. Once I figured out the whole WRF, KCR, and DDM cases were manufactured, it was only a matter of figuring out why. Why go through all that trouble? Why take the risk of letting out an Elder like Miss. Crawford and causing a potential paranormal pandemic with Mrs. Pierrot? And… Well, I'm still not sure how they managed to do what they did in Dover… but why? Why go through all this trouble? Simple. They did it to show us that we need them. We can't keep running around from the States to Russia then back again if there was a "real" threat. And they also know that there is a real threat. The Cold.

Now… the question is, do we humor them? Do we negotiate some sort of "merger" with the Astoria 23rd Agency? I know they have for years been our rival, adversary, and of course, close friends… but could a team-up solve some of the problems we are facing? The debts we owe? Or could a merger with A23 lead to the end of the Cafe and Diner as we know it? Realistically… probably that. While A23 wants us for our shared talents and knowledge of Otherside affairs, they also have wanted the Cafe and Diner shut down since 1992. Surely if we were to work together, the end goal for the Astorians, for Astrid, would be to eventually tear us apart from the inside out. I know that Astrid, and the other Indigo Children for that matter, they are all opposed to the Cold. And if we were to team up with Astoria, I can't help but imagine the first wedge Astrid will try to drive will be between "us" and the TriCaD, Jules, Rico, and Crystal. They are all tied to the Wicked… and while it is a concern at the back of my mind, I'm sure it's a concern at the front of Astrid's mind.

Well… it's my decision to make. Though, obviously, I want to first consult with the other Managers. I just need an excuse to get us all together. I could probably convince the Dark Watchers to set things up. It has to seem natural and unrelated to the matter. I doubt the managers would be all too eager to come to talk about a merger with our oldest rival organization. But, the managers would probably listen to a prophecy of sorts from the Watchers. While I've never met them personally, I'm sure they can be reasoned with. If not for my sake, hopefully for Jean's. He still has a pretty heavy sway even if he's no longer with us. But, if the Dark Watchers won't get on board, I guess I could try and talk to each manager independently. Whatever the plan ends up being, ni renkontiĝas en kafejoj.
