Summary of Receipt
17 and 323 meet up with Hyer. He says that Mrs. Pleasant broke out of the Ouroboros before the Blood Moon and that she’s unrelated to the Blood Moon, and also that there were four fires in the CaD. Hyer seems to be referring to someone else (from the F.C.?) and tells 17 and 323 to find the signal to track down Pleasant, who cannot hide from ‘them’.

S.O.T
17: Thank you for meeting with us Mr. Hyer.
Mr. Hyer: It is the least I can do for you [REDACTED].
17: Oh, um, we aren’t him. He’s dead.
Mr. Hyer: No.
323: He died in the fire. Remember? The smoke that you smelt?
Mr. Hyer: That was a different fire.
323: Wait, which fire was it then?
Mr. Hyer: How may I be of assistance, time is running out.
323: What fire- no sorry, what can you tell us about the blood moon?
Mr. Hyer: Every blood moon tells a tale.
17: Okay, what tale did this one tell?
Mr. Hyer: How pleasant things could be if only we can see past the smoke.
17: Yes, okay, so Mrs. Pleasant. The Blood Moon let her escape the Hauntaurskald? Is that it?
Mr. Hyer. Ouroboros was her prison.
17: Sorry, Ouroboros then?
Mr. Hyer: Let us say that she was broken out before the blood moon, and she is unrelated.
323: Unrelated? Really? Okay so then what is Mrs. Pleasant up to? And where is she? I thought you said she was already here?
Mr. Hyer: Let me think.
17: Okay, take your time.
Mr. Hyer: Okay, I’ve considered the options and it would seem you’ve met me before this but I haven’t met you.
17: Oh. Okay… so you are asynchronous with the flow of time?
Mr. Hyer: Wouldn’t that be nice, but no, I can only be where and when I am now.
323: If that’s the case, how many fires have there been?
Mr. Hyer: Four.
323: Four fires. That doesn’t line up with any of the original CaD reports.
17: No it doesn’t. Can you tell us about the fires?
Mr. Hyer: Last time I told you about the fires, [REDACTED], you almost broke your promise to me.
17: What promise?
Mr. Hyer: It’s between me and [REDACTED].
323: So you know we aren’t him?
Mr. Hyer: Even if you weren’t I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference time seems to fly.
17: Ah… I think I understand. So with that topic off-limits. What should we do about Mrs. Pleasant?
Mr. Hyer: See if you can see what the others can’t see.
323: Anything we should see in particular?
Mr. Hyer: Find the signal and you too can find Mrs. Pleasant.
17: Signal?
Mr. Hyer: Even Mrs. Pleasant cannot hide from them.
323: Who’s “them”?
Mr. Hyer: Silly question, who are you?
323: I’m Dan, that’s Ashlyn, we work for the Cafe and Diner.
Mr. Hyer: That Cafe and Diner is so much trouble.
17: Seems like it.
Mr. Hyer: Even so, the trouble is worth it, every time, even now.
323: Let’s hope so. Thank you Mr. Hyer for your time.
Mr. Hyer: Remember, [REDACTED], bundle up and stay in the dark.
