Summary of Receipt

Manager 6 does a card reading to gain insight into the Palm Beach branch’s current situation with Miss. Augustine. It doesn’t sound good, being full of death, imbalance, the end of things, a failure to manage - or perhaps control - something, and someone possibly using Miss. Augustine.

[BRANCH] PALM BEACH
[SERVER] MANAGER NO. 6
[DATE] 1/15/22
[INDEX ID] AEB03
[SECURITY] CAFE

In times like these, I like to do a bit of divination. While I haven't been able to do much more than fire gazing since the incident at the records, Miss Augustine's "vibes" have been seeping into mine a bit, and I think I might be able to do a three-card spread on her. So, like, let's see what the cards have in store for us and our long-term house guest.

The Past: Six of Pentacles - Reversed

No surprises here… there has been a severe lack of balance between the Palm Beach Managers. One of us has been prone to keeping secrets lately. Though… I must also wonder if this card speaks to Miss. Augustine as well? Perhaps her unearthing has led to a severe lack of balance in the Flipside. Or could it be that she has gone too long without bestowing her… "gifts" onto others?

The Present: Death

An end is coming and a change we cannot prevent. If I had to guess, it relates to our current, well, quest to reopen the Eighth Plane of the Otherside. Though this card could speak to any number of irreversible changes to come. I do… worry… that the change this card speaks of is not Death but quite the opposite, if you know what I'm saying. Though I think the third card should hopefully add some much-needed clarity.

The Future: Nine of Cups

Thankfully, a card of goodwill. A man surrounded by plentiful cups. Whatever change is coming, it bodes well for someone. It is hard to say, be it us, Augustine, or perhaps Fate itself. Though many, many, worse cards could have manifested here and now. Perhaps… one more card could fully illuminate the situation.

The Hour: Ace of Cups

As I feared. A cup that overflows. A drink too tempting to pass. A thirst that must be quenched, even if it kills what remains of the ego. The Ace of Cups would be a good sign in any other reading. But as I see it, it is an ominous warning. We will not resolve this matter without someone drinking from the forbidden fountain. Well… nothing is set in stone. If I were to draw again…

The Other Hour: Ten of Swords...

It is not good either way. We'll leave it at that for now.

Peace, Love, and Joy.
