Well, how about that! Jiminy cricket, things are heating up in hell! Or, well, the Open Doors Church, which is close enough. Service this week was as unusually usual as always, but I decided to tune out a bit and really keep an eye on that deceptively enchanting head of the parish council, Miss. Fitch. A good thing I did, as I now have a 99.5% certainty, I know who she really is. What really tipped the scales was when she accidentally tipped her hat, and I got a real clean look at her ugly mug. She might seem ravishing on the outside, but her face is all but ravenous underneath. Not to mention her distinct odor, which I admittedly find quite charming, but as No. 512 has pointed out, it hides a particular note of death.
Yes, if you’ve been following along with my train of thought up until now, I’m sure you’d all agree that the lovely Miss. Fitch is none other than La Diablesse. A powerful and senior witch of Satan. She made a deal with him sometime back for eternal youth, though it’s a real Gray-situation where her face ended up as corrupt as her wicked soul. Not only that, but I’m practically positive she’s hiding a cloven hoof under her dress. Which, for those not in the know, is a sign of an exceptionally potent witch. Now, if I had to guess why Padre chose her to lead his parish council, she fills a similar role to that of Mrs. Pleasant. Fitch’s primary modus operandi is mind control.
So now we know Padre has a senior boogieman and a powerful witch on his side. All that’s left to calculate is who this mysterious and devilishly handsome Janos is. If I had to guess, Janos must be filling a similar role to Umbra, which means he might be the most dangerous one of the bunch. Speaking of the spooky shadow, what is he up to these days? Gosh, I know he was working with the M.K. to help topple the Necropolis, and now my baby bat is helping keep things together down there, but I don’t think anyone has seen him in quite some time. We should probably keep some tabs on him as he is another very dangerous variable to watch out for.
