A physical altercation occurred between myself and Miss. Augustine in the basement. She has been very agitated as of late. Her discontent stems from us refusing to drink her special brew. I tried explaining to her that we serve the coffee, not the customers, and she lashed out at me physically when my back was turned. I'm fine. She only scratched my arm. Hardly broke the skin. But it does indicate a dangerous escalation of this situation.
To be clear, none of us have been comfortable with lodging Miss. Augustine in our Cafe. Though we previously at least had some comfort in her lack of mobility. However, she is now moving with us in the room. As such, it is officially too dangerous to be down there with her alone, if at all. I anticipate the next development we'll see is her moving on her own, whether we are looking at her or not. Then it is only a matter of time before she drinks, or we drink.
To be quite honest, I am confused as to what would calm her down at this point. Us trying her unique drink or a nice Italian dinner. Based on her constant screaming, one would think trying just one sip would calm her down. Although that begs the question, why? Obviously, she is a complex customer with unique needs, but I don't see how one drink is better than the other. No. 5 has been looking into this, though hard evidence is scarce. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye on my arm in case something develops.
No one is allowed to be in the basement alone. No one is allowed to be in the basement unaccompanied by a manager. Understood?
That’s all.
