Has anyone else noticed… how… uh… like, good New Guy looks lately? I mean, we all know he's a normal boy. But those new overalls he found really make him look… normal. Which isn't a bad thing. But I don't think any of us got those overalls for him, right? I checked with Payroll, and they aren't glamored or anything… so I'm really not sure what they're made out of. I guess, obviously, corduroy, but there's got to be some extra "oomph" in them. I suppose they might have been a gift from Alaric and Daichi… though I think they would have mentioned that?
And that's not all, I also found a mysterious gift addressed to me. I opened it up, and it was a crocheted pillow. As far as I could tell, it was completely normal. The only thing that might be unusual about it is that I didn't have any dreams when I took a nap with it. None. Not having a dream might be pretty normal for everyone else, but not for me. For as long as I can remember, I've had vivid dreams every single night of my life. Probably has to do with my upbringing. I mean, it was nice to sort of… "turn off" my dreams for a bit. It's the first time I've woke up feeling rested. So I guess that's why it's a "gift," but who is it from?
Something is definitely strange here. Even though a dreamless sleep was nice, we're at more of a disadvantage against the Dark without my dreams. But… I can't help but feel like I want to keep using it. It's like a thought I can't shake from my head. Even now, after I had already slept 6 hours last night and took a 2-hour nap, I want to go back to sleep. I feel like I need to go back to sleep. And I know for a fact New Guy hasn't taken his overalls off since he put them on. If anyone else finds a mysterious gift addressed to them, show it to Payroll before opening it. Maybe she can reverse locate its origin.
