Itsa me once again, No. 62. I don’t normally write receipts as I usually spend my time keeping the whole CaDCom network running and making sure things on the Archives are running smoothly. However, No. 35 sent over the data they collected yesterday on the Dover Lights/Mr. Bartlett situation. No. 2 has been very interested in this case, and while I would usually put something like this off until we know more… I think he wants me to analyze this data ASAP.
I guess it’s worth noting what we don’t have yet: a blood signature. Without that, I can’t really pin Bartlett to a plane of the Otherside. There is a chance, probably a pretty good chance, too, that Mr. Bartlett is from the Otherworld instead. And while we do know quite a bit about the “cardinal” planes of the Otherworld, plus the top and bottom planes, we have yet to find a signature trace from the Otherworld yet. No soil, no ash, no sap, no ichor, no feathers, and no ectoplasm. The last one is what surprises me. This has Achegloom written all over it. Oh well. I’m sure eventually we’ll either find what we’re looking for… or maybe it’s something we haven’t thought to look for yet. We already know that the Otherworld has a lot of unexplored planes, and even the Otherside probably has some mysteries we haven’t really pieced together yet.
So that’s what I’m missing. Which is kinda the most crucial piece of data… haha. But these energy readings are still pretty useful. It confirms that whatever the lights are, they are not sentient life forms as far as we know. The “lights” are also not necessarily just light but are some sort of plasma. Maybe… Ball lightning? Or I guess… close enough to ball lightning. It’s a ball of plasma; I don’t know what else you’d call that. These lightning balls are also super dense, and they tend to collapse in on themselves within a few microseconds. Though from the data No. 35 got yesterday and the data we got a while back, it looks like their stability is improving. Bad news is that stability also might just lead to our own instability. So. Y’know.
Other good news, though, is if these lightning balls, or whatever, is this dense, then I’m guessing they could probably deform the boundary lines too. Or probably have already scarred the boundary lines. Now I am not a boundary line expert by any means, but maybe No. 116 and No. 611 could go out to Evergreen to check it out? Other than that, I’m kinda out of ideas.
