Huge thanks to No. 4 for coming out to help us on this one. We didn't exactly realize we were inadvertently making it stronger. Also, we would never have guessed it was a Cusp Cryptid. Cryptids and Demons on the Cusp of Planes are super uncommon due to the harsh and unpredictable nature of living on a Cusp Line. It's so uncommon that we consider them on our "Secret Menu." There's Mocha (Morningstar-Infernus Cusp), Chili-Orange Cocoa (Infernus-Hauntaurskald Cusp), Citrus Tea (Hauntaurskald-Esterskald Cusp), Iced Green Tea (Mayda-Esterskald Cusp), and Corpse Reviver on the Rocks (Necropolis-Mayda Cusp).

Which makes me wonder if the Cusp Lines are somehow involved with the Dover Lights? I mean, they are inherently unique areas where the Planes of the Otherside overlap, and that might have something to do with the overlapping states of existence we're experiencing. Well, the good news is No. 116 and 611 should be arriving tomorrow to take a more in-depth look at the boundary lines and the Cusp Lines. Mrs. Cheesman's tab has been paid, and I doubt we'll see her again any time soon.

However, I am concerned that the alterations in state that Mrs. Cheesman experienced might be permanent. It's actually something that's been on my mind since Mrs. Hanako. What if we sent either of them to the wrong place? For Mrs. Cheesman, it seems like No. 4 was very confident in identifying them and where they belong, but will they retain their Achegloom powers? And for Mrs. Hanako… it's impossible to say where she originally came from. What if she was from the Otherside and now she has to live in the Otherworld? What happens if she dies in the Otherworld? It's already complicated enough to have a human die in the Otherside or a demon die in the Flipside, so… what happens when a demon dies in the Otherworld? Is her state permanently locked into being a Yokai? Or… was she a Yokai, to begin with? I can't help but feel we're heading into some serious gray areas, and we might be tipping the balance of things out of whack. Then again, it's not really us; it's the Lights. So we need to figure out what they are and where they are coming from ASAP. Hopefully, the boys can glean something new.
