Puzzle
"A sorry sceNe."
Knowledge | 3 Words
Clue
Hover over the clues if you require!
Clue 1: This isn't a capitalized N, but rather an 'Ne'.
Clue 2: Knowledge puzzle, mind you. What 'neons' have been alluded to?
Clue 3: I'd check through the FFF receipts, personally - and if you haven't encountered this House beforehand, play a little loose with the name.
Answer and Explanation
Answer: House Of Heavens
Explanation: In FFF02, Trusted Associate remarks that it's expensive to '[run] the neons' on forever - neon's chemical symbol being Ne. This is spoken in context of the 'House of Heaven', alternatively referred to in other archives as Lucifer's House of Heavens.

CAFE RECEIPT
RECEIPT NUMBER: TCC06
RECEIPT DATE: 12 12 1988
MANAGER TITLE: MON AMOUR
RECEIPT NOTES:
Just when I was finally making a dent in my paperwork, I get called back down to the Flipside. To the Cafe. Which, I might add, isn’t even there right now, is it? Oh well. It seems the Cold—Secret, specifically—has forced your hand again, mon amour.
Sure, I could ignore Shaka and the Zulus’ summons. That’d go over brilliantly, wouldn’t it? Or maybe you’d prefer I drag them to the Morningstar, leaving you, Eight, and your Trusted Associate floating safely in the House of Heavens, just outside the Cold’s reach.
No.
I’m not doing that.
The only reason I even have to meet with Shaka of Zulu in the first place is because of the Cafe and Diner. So I’m meeting Shaka of Zulu at the Cafe and Diner. In the Flipside. Where it belongs.
Besides, the House of Heavens can only hold the three of you for a few more days at best. It was meant to be an “emergency” out, not a long-term hideout. Even if it was a suitable place to stay, it completely defeats the point of the Cafe and Diner, doesn’t it? It’s meant to maintain balance between the Flipside and Otherside. And how the hell is it supposed to do that if it’s not in either? So, I’ll see you—and the Cafe—back in Southern California, where you all belong.
As for what Shaka wants to discuss, I assume it’s about whatever first brought the Zulus to the Cafe. I have… an idea… as to what that might be. Though I’d rather not speculate too much in case I’m holding a secret even he doesn’t know yet. Hopefully, this meeting will put an end to their presence in our operations. If it doesn’t? I’ll raise hell with the Astorians over it. I know the Astorians don’t “really” control the Zulus, but they ought to be able to reel them in when it counts. If they can’t, then why are they even paying them in the first place?
