Hah! I knew they were doodlebugs. Or, well, the cryptid version of doodlebugs. To be fair, I’ve spent enough time in the dunes outside Aurora to make a pretty good guess, but it’s great to finally confirm what these mini-Min Min Lights really are—just little bug cryptids. Mon amour and I did our best to round up the ones we could find, and we returned them to the glistening white sands outside of Aurora, where hopefully they’ll catch the kind of prey they’re looking for.

Though… our work in Death Valley isn’t done yet. We caught about ten of the antlion cryptids, but the lights haven’t gone away. If anything, they’ve gotten brighter. The non-Min Min Lights are also more… well, it’s hard to describe. Less disk and more fractal, I suppose. Our Trusted Associate thinks these particular lights are a sign of Universal stress—and I’d have to agree. The idea of the Universe 'breaking' is a bit more bitter than the coffee I was hoping to serve, though. I much prefer a dash of cream, thank you.

Naturally, I tried to get in touch with the big man upstairs. The Bird. But… he hasn’t gotten back to me. I reached out to a few Angels I’m on good terms with, and they were extremely cagey about Bird’s whereabouts. That’s… not good. He’s never just gone. It’s His Universe, after all. He made it. He’s always somewhere. The fact that He’s not answering my calls? That makes these lights we’re seeing even more alarming.

Like I said, I don’t think this is really our order to take. But even if it’s not the Cafe and Diner’s problem… it might be a problem for a Prince. Or, well, Princes.</span>

RECEIPT NOTES:

Or, well, Princes.
