I AM OKAY! Yes, it is true, I am very okay. I have escaped the Labyrinth almost entirely on my own. I am simply that good at mazes. I will say this, okay, I will say that I did have some minor help from a very nice demon. Daedalus! Yes! Daedalus is the one who made the Necropolis Labyrinth, so of course, he knew the way out. He apparently likes to spend time walking the Labyrinth to clear his head. I do not see how that would help, as my head was very busy trying to find a way out.
Anyway, he showed me how to find the way out; it was actually quite simple, you see. You just have to touch one wall as you walk. Very simple. We did chit and chat quite a bit as we walked. Apparently, and this is true, apparently, Daedalus knows about the Mechanism because, and you will not believe this, because he is the one who designed it! Yes! So, I did end up finding the demon from H.R.’s vision. Or, well, perhaps he found me, but, still, I was able to ask him many questions about the Mechanism!
Of course, I asked him how we could find the other pieces or if he knew how to make more. Sadly, he simply cannot make more pieces because his plans, models, and blueprints were all STOLEN! YES! STOLEN! Apparently, Daedalus had been teaching another demon named Drosselmeyer for many years how to make very impressive contraptions and creations, but Drosselmeyer STOLE many of his things and has disappeared with them. Drosselmeyer stole all of Daedalus’ work on the Mechanism, and without his blueprints, he simply cannot help us fix the Mechanism as it is simply too complex to recreate from memory. Drosselmeyer also stole some sort of weapon they were working on together for Asmodeus called the Nutcracker. That sounds like a very unpleasant weapon. I simply must say so. I hope that it is, well, you see, I hope that it is not a very literal name as that could be very unpleasant for many people.
In any case, I am on my way home. I am sad that I could not help more in finding the Mechanism pieces, BUT we now know who can help! Drosselmeyer! We simply need to find him and ask nicely for the blueprints back so Daedalus can fix the Mechanism.
