Well, the House just keeps getting stranger and stranger each week. At this point, I’m unsure if it really is the Watcher’s doing or if it’s somehow tied to Eden returning in the blink of an eye. Though… I’m not exactly sure why the House seems so responsive to Eve. The House was built by Eisheth and friends, right? And Eisheth and her friends are mostly in the Black Tide these days. So, I suppose it has to be the influence of the Watchers, though I haven’t seen them since they first visited the House.
Some new fun horrors the House has decided to think up include: the dandelions on the wallpaper have turned into spiders, the grandfather clock is now missing its face but still chimes sporadically, the drapes have become entirely cobweb, and then there’s the portrait of the Devil and Eve. Is it’s… rotting? Or has been burning? I can’t tell other than the Devil’s side of the portrait has darkened to the point I can’t make it out anymore. Oh, and Eve is no longer looking down, she’s looking directly toward the viewer, and her dress seems to have also faded in color along with her hair.
Well, strike that. I just went to confirm that was all the changes, but… Eve’s no longer there. At all. The portrait has been ripped, almost as if Eve ripped herself out of the portrait. Yikes. That’s… not a good sign, right? I’ll check the House to see if I can find Eve or any of the numerous spiders who keep covering everything in cobwebs. Seriously, I can’t walk a foot in the House without getting caught in some sort of spider gunk, yet I have never once seen a spider in here. I’m still not sure how connected the House is to the actual Eve, but if this is a sign, it’s probably a bad one, right? I know we’ve all been on high alert for Eve lately, but maybe it’s time to be on extra high alert?
