Well… that was exhausting. But… nice to have a full success for once. The Manager’s plan of keeping her busy with the squirt guns and having the New Guy run around worked out pretty well. I guess her lower half must’ve been a lot closer than we knew, as it got to her super fast. Honestly, I think it was better that way anyway. Not sure if she could’ve kept living as a lower-half. I was not expecting her to split again. Gross, nasty, demon type.

Clue 2: Then...well, it's just a book cipher from there. Remember to remove the various dashes.
Clue 3: The paragraphs you're searching for start with 'I was not able to...'; 'With some difficulty, I...'; 'Left Munich at 8:35...'; and 'It was on the dark...' - you may have to do some searching around based off what your searcher thinks is a word.

Answer and Explanation

Answer: Light Meet The Dark
Explanation: The 'kept in shorthand' references Dracula. The numbers refer to a book cipher for four words, using Chapter 1 as the text.

Manager: Right—we ready for this? We’ve got a long night keepin’ ‘er busy. New Guy, you sure about all this? No problem backin’ out. We can always work something else out.

New Guy: Absolutely!! I have been practicing my running and hiding skills. I think, yes, I think I am quite good at it.

H.R.: You’ll do great, New Guy. Just head for the marked spots, alright?

Payroll: Did you hear that?

Manager: ‘ere she comes…

Visayas: So—the Cafe and Diner has brought me the frog on a silver platter. How thoughtful. What? Is this some sort of trap? And he’s the bait? You know it saves me a lot of the trouble—AGH!

Payroll: Go New Guy!

Visayas: Graah… Really? Did you expect to stop me with a toy filled with holy water… and vinegar?

[The Manager shot at Visayas from the opposite direction.]

Visayas: AGH!!

Manager: And garlic juice.

New Guy: Come on, ugly half-lady! I’m right here!

Visayas: Enough games!

[Visayas swooped toward the New Guy but was hit by another round from Payroll’s water gun. This continued for quite some time.]

Visayas: ARGH! You are testing my patience!

Manager: Thank the bloody bird I always cheat on tests—

[The Manager shot at Visayas again.]

Visayas: You insolent—!

New Guy: H-eeey! I’m over here now! Come on!!

Visayas: Enough.

[Visayas tore her upper body in half, and then in half again. The winged-thirds flew toward Payroll and H.R., wrapping them in her large leathery wings.]

Manager: Never read about that…

Visayas: Of course not. I am not “a Remover.” I am the Remover, remember? The Destiny Remover. The final end—

Manager: Oh, no, so it is a play on “Destiny Remover,” is it?

Visayas: You talk far too much—

Manager: I reckon you’re right. Been ‘avin’ a chinwag with you all… night… long.

Visayas: What? Agh! This isn’t the end!

[Visayas reformed her unified upper-half and then swooped toward the exit but was tangled in a web of fishing line.]

New Guy: Looks like I caught one!

Visayas: I wi…ll… not… allow… this… to be… my end!

[Visayas let out a blood-curdling screech that brought forth her lower half. As the two pieces unified into one, Payroll sprang forth, driving a stingray tail into her heart.]

Visayas: NO! I WON’T—
