I was hoping the game night would help clear my head a bit, though I’m not having much luck finding the remaining Mechanism pieces in the Astral Plane. Though it did give me a bit of an idea. Usually, I use tarot cards for readings and insights, but you can use regular playing cards too. And as luck would have it, our Barista is a colossal card fan. So, she showed me a few different spreads and interpretations for a standard 54-card deck, and I had something interesting happen…
Each time I’ve tried to pull some insight about the Mechanism, I got the same four cards repeatedly. Jack of Spades, Jack of Hearts, Jack of Diamonds, and Jack of Clubs. This is… not normal in the slightest. Statistically speaking, it’s beyond improbable to draw the same four cards in the same order over and over again. And I’ve done it thirteen times now.
