Deeds done. I don't reckon Miss. Ojai will be botherin' anyone ever again. Team 4 was able to subdue, contain, and then take care of the Char Man. Though, thanks to No. 35's work on fixin' up the Cafe to nullify the Char Man's pyrokinesis-what-have-you, we were able to hold the sorry son of a gun long enough to squeeze a bit of information outta him. Of course, I'd take it all with a huge cup of coffee myself. But I also reckon men on the gallows have little to gain from lying. At least in my experience of killin' and flushin' creeps away. We still don't know how the Char Man returned, but I figure it must be that he slipped away in the chaos of '03, and he was never dead, to begin with. As for why he started messin' with us now, I feel it's tied to our presence in the church. Well, shoot—not "our" presence, but the Anathemas' presence specifically. Seems like their blood is part of what is keeping Satan locked up.

S.O.T. Ojai: What is this?
No. 116: Well, I reckon it's some sort of protective sigil set. They suck the oxygen out of the vicinity or something like that. Neat, isn't it? We just had 'em installed a week ago. Same time we took out all the combustibles.
Ojai: No! NO!

No. 116: Now, do you wanna cooperate? Or do you reckon we need to snuff you out for good?
