I do always love an excuse to visit my daughter, though we had little time to catch up. As it turns out, Nine required a reading from every ring of the Necropolis… all 300 or so of them. It was quite the task, but it was made a bit easier with the help of Seth and Ned’s siblings. Despite the help, it still took us the better part of an Amaymonian day to get it done. We also grabbed a few readings from the Everdark and Eden regions of the Plane, though Nine apparently already collected readings there when he first noticed the anomaly in the Planes’ compositions. Still, it was worth double-checking again to see if the Kings had made any alterations to Planes outside of the domain of the Princes.

The only data Nine still needs to collect is from the Ouroboros, which is thankfully the smallest Plane… though it is also near-impossible to visit without Belphegor’s express permission and protection. Apparently, Twain is going to attempt to use one of her seven Miracles of Shaka to take her and Nine there. I can’t say I know what the Miracles of Shaka are, but it wouldn’t surprise me if one of them gave Shaka some sort of backdoor access to forbidden Planes, such as the Ouroboros. Worst case, Twain and Nine get frozen in time, and we either attempt to mount a rescue or wait for Belphegor to return, though she is certainly taking her sweet time to do so.

Summary of Receipt

Silenziosa and Nine visit the Necropolis, by far the easiest of the lot due to the help of Seth Warren and the Langley family (well, those in the Necropolis). Still, because of the sheer size, it takes them a while. The two also get readings from Eden and the Everdark. Now the only Plane left is Ouroboros, which Twain is going to use one of the Miracles of Shaka to access. Even though it should be inaccessible to all since Belphegor's dead. By right she should be back by now - Belphegor's notoriously unkillable - so maybe she's treating her death as some sort of vacation, or perhaps something's blocking her from returning. Still, the friendly Witches of Belphegor - Solomon, Abner, or Malachi Langley - would likely have informed them if something really bad had happened.

I do always love an excuse to visit my daughter, though we had little time to catch up. As it turns out, Nine required a reading from every ring of the Necropolis… all five of them.

Of course, I’ve never experienced a period of time in which Belphegor was dead, but from what I’ve heard, Belphegor is known to be especially unkillable, even for a Prince of Hell. Perhaps she is merely taking her death as an extended vacation, or, more troubling, something is preventing her return. I suppose if there was truly something wrong in the Court of the Eternal Snake, Solomon, Abner, or Malachi would have alerted us.
