Summary of Receipt

Lucifer makes a report, working with ‘Deep Corp 23’ (note: see T.C.’s Twice Third Temple). The hair’s actually from her, since it would be much less dangerous than from Eden, Lucifer’s mother. She then says that once the Staff disappears, Robert should be dealt with due to the hair, since ‘Morningstar’s light cuts through Everdark’s (a place full of beings older than hell itself) shadows’. Lucifer questions whether Nikki’s capable of stopping the Dark, saying it’s 50-50, and also about inviting her to Deep Corp 23, saying it’s also 50-50.

OPERATION: HAIRCUT?

Very strange and unusual. Then again, it seems that is Complexico's special brand. Strange and unusual.

The good news is I no longer owe Nikki a favor. You don't want to owe a Langley a favor. From what I understand, Jericho and the Redman were playing some sort of game, which attracted the Elder Complexico, who decided to hold his own game with the prize being the Scepter of Solomon. It's been years since I've seen that thing. Anyway, Robert the Doll got the Scepter and has been living out some weird power-fantasy he has. Of course, the Scepter doesn't stick around, so he wanted to make sure his power was secured, and he wanted to be infused with my mother's hair. I don't even know if that would work or what it would do to a shade. So anyway, Nikki came to me at the House of Heavens for a lock of my hair because it's close enough to my mother's without, you know, the danger of being my mother's.

The Scepter should move on soon enough, and my hair should burn the shade. You know Morningstar's light cuts through Everdark's shadows and all that. We've been so focused on keeping my other siblings at bay we haven't given much attention to the other Cafe. I mean, Nikki's great and all, but do I trust her to stop the Dark? Eh, 50-50 odds. Of course, Nick thinks it's a "bad idea" to invite Nikki to the Deep Corp. Again, 50-50 odds. For now, we'll leave them be, and if things get too serious, we can always step in from the shadows. But… I feel like Princes of Hell are more important than some shadow with an ego-complex. Although… now that Elders are taking an interest in their operations… well, that might be concerning. At least it was only Complexico. He's more or less harmless. Most of the time, anyway.
