Clue 1: Ignore 35's Trivia for now. There's an old arcade game that was famous before the time of electronic games like Pong or Space Invaders. What's it called?
Clue 2: What, in Pinball, causes you to lose your ball and forfeit any bonus points?
Clue 3: Now link the concept of 'tilting' to 35's trivia.
Answer and Explanation
Answer: Table-tilting
Explanation: ??The puzzle references pinball machines' tilting mechanism, in which if the machine is tilted too far, you will lose the ball and any bonus points accumulated. From there, linking tilting to 35's trivia brings to mind 'table-tilting', a type of seance.

EMPLOYEE #35
Okay. That was certainly a “nuclear option.” I didn’t realize it wasn’t #53’s plan but the Owner’s. He… showed up at my door and tried to reason with my parents. Something isn’t right, though. Neither my parents nor the Owner were acting… normal. I got most of their conversation on my CaDCom but reading it back doesn’t totally convey the weird tension in the room.
The Owner: So, Sean, was it? And Hazel? It’s… a pleasure to meet you.
Hazel: Yes, and you were…?
The Owner: François. [#35’s] employer.
Sean: Employer? [#35] doesn’t have a job.
The Owner: Ah. Yes, I was worried about this. She hasn’t told you, has she?
Hazel: She never mentioned it to us. Where has she been working?
The Owner: Oh, just a little cafe—
Sean: —and diner? Always so much trouble.
[The Owner lowered his sunglasses.]
The Owner: Indeed, it is. But always worth it, I assure you.
Hazel: Oh, I’m sure it is.
The Owner: What do you want for [#35]?
Hazel: For our precious girl to be safe, naturally. It’s a risky business.
Sean: People can get hurt serving coffee. Scalds and burns.
Hazel: Getting stiffed on tips.
The Owner: So, she’s safer here, is what you’re saying?
Sean: Yes.
[The Owner raised his sunglasses.]
The Owner: Hm. Okay. Well, I can’t argue with you on that. Sorry, [#35]. It seems like you won’t be able to continue your employment with us.
#35: But—!
The Owner: No, no. You broke the Diner’s Rule No. 13.
[The Owner nodded to #35’s parents.]
The Owner: I could have overlooked that, of course, but then, ah—you broke the Cafe’s Rule No. 23, as well.
#35: I see. I’m sorry.
The Owner: See how far that little candle throws its beams. Well, thank you, Hazel and Sean. I won’t bother you further. It was a pleasure working with you, [#35].
