Summary of Receipt
It’s confirmed that 134’s discussing IRIS. Anyway, the plan is to obtain one of Weekend's eyes without damaging it, namely a demon-unique organ that would allow the CaD to see what Weekend sees. There are some interesting eye-organs that 134 goes in...great detail...into. One allows demons to 'read in three parts', one can both create and pump blood (like a mini-heart) and a third that can somehow - if obtained without it being damaged - can allow the Cafe to form a 'link' with Weekend, letting them see what he does. Anyway, IRIS is pretty interested in demon eyes, and Jericho Myerscough (O.C.’s Manager) worked for them in the past, so 134 plans to talk to him.

CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT FROM 10/21/17
MANAGER 134
RECEIPT: ENDOFTHEWEEK02
STATUS: OPEN
Well, I hope that the Diner-talk wasn't too... wearisome. In any case, allow me to better explain the owner's plan. She wants me to take one of Friday's eyes and use it as a sort of one-way mirror into whatever Friday is seeing. This isn't as far-fetched as it might seem, either. As I mentioned in my prior receipt, demon eyes are rather unique. At least compared to our human eyes. Demon eyes have numerous additional organs and glands connected to them. There are a few noteworthy ones, such as the trianimus separator, the macula infernales, and the furvus cruor sac.
Now the trianimus separator is what allows demons to read in three parts and is the foundation of their demonic language. It can be hard to comprehend as humans, but in a sense, they see things in three separate ways. For example, if I wrote something in blue ink, you wouldn't see it through a blue lens, right? Well, they write so that the parts combine into words only if you have those three "lenses." Of course, we've found ways to sort of bypass this need, but it still makes translating demon a pain if you don't have demonic eyes yourself.
The furvus cruor sac is of great interest to our friends across the pond, IRIS. It is a small sac of blood that both creates and pumps blood, almost like a heart located inside a demon's eye. Its purpose remains somewhat unknown though many speculate it provides the extra blood to the separator to facilitate its ability to see in threes. However, because of its ability to both create and then distribute demon blood into a circulatory system, it is often used to create half-human half-demon hybrids of sorts. Of course, I needn't explain the risks involved in demonic transplants. Still, it is an interesting field of fringe science that is all the rage in Europe. Not so much over here, thanks to the Kennedy Laws. Astoria 23 takes such... elective surgeries quite seriously. Some might even say a bullet to the head on a grassy knoll, serious. Speculation, of course. Nothing more.
Finally, the macula infernales. The part of a demon's eye that has caught our owner's interest. Friday himself has many eyes. He has more than most demons. He has, well, I'll guess thirteen to tie into his whole "theme," though I've never counted them myself. If we were able to remove one of his many eyes, then keep it viable, and keep it Flipside, and not damage the very small and fragile macula infernales, we could, in theory, create a link between Friday and us. See what he sees. This would aid us in our investigations into the Twice Third Temple and keep us safe during Friday's future hunts. And if we can keep the furvus cruor sac intact, we would have an unlimited supply of Friday's blood. For what purpose? I don't know. But it could be nice to have.
So the challenge that faces me is how to remove one of Friday's eyes without him killing me and without me damaging it. Also, keeping his eye viable post-Friday the 13th. There's also the matter of actually using his eye in the manner we desire, but I feel that is a problem best left until after we acquire the eye. As I mentioned, I fear I will need to practice on some other subjects first... Ethically this is, of course, murky. Before I go that far, I would like to see if Jericho from the Other Cafe knows anything about the specifics of Demon Eye transplants, seeing as he worked for IRIS. I'll see if I can't get in touch with him in a few days to ask about what he knows.
