Summary of Receipt
Manager 2 receives a message from his sister, Nicole Langley. Back when the CaD was investigating the Otherworld, when they opened the End and freed Bird, a bunch of formerly-paused events, with some meddling by Fate, led to Nicole’s death. However, to temporarily avoid this, Bird sent her and Seth Warren to Limbo, where they made a deal with Bird to die for real. Nicole would then become the Prince of the Necropolis and stabilise it against the Morbid King. Anyway, the letter mentions that something weird’s happening in the Necropolis, so Seth Warren’s going to show up and tell them about it.

Finally heard from my sister. Only been, what, four-and-half months? For her, that's pretty considerate. I wouldn't have been surprised if she went an entire year without speaking with me. Our previous record was 18 years. So this is undoubtedly an improvement.
For those unaware, my sister Nicole "died" twice. Well. I don't know. It's complicated. When we reached the End and opened the Chamber, freeing Bird, we put things back into motion that had been halted since Bird got caged up. One of the countless things that had been on hold was apparently my sister's death. Some weird mix of prior-Sphere complications and current-Sphere poor choices, all with the helping hand of Fate thrown in. More or less, her death was something that had to happen one way or another.
But of course, she didn't just double over and die. No. That'd be too easy. Thanks to Bird, she somehow wound up in the backrooms of the Topside, usually referred to as Limbo. Being slightly better than death but not by much, Limbo opened up the possibility that she could be brought back to the Flipside. So, me and No. 5 spent a year trying to get her back. When we finally reached her, she had gotten chummy with Bird and made a choice to actually "die-die" so she could come back in the Necropolis and take the throne of Asmodeus to help stabilize that region. It's probably not the best recap, but hey, it's a long story. The point is she just sent me a messenger raven which told me:
"Hey [No. 2]. Weird thing here in Necro. Need a nerd to look at it. Sending Seth on Friday. See you soon."
Not sure what to expect. Also not sure when Seth is actually showing up. Tomorrow? Next week? Next month? Clarity has never been her thing. However, I can only assume whatever this weirdness in the Necropolis is, it has to do with the Morbid King and his shadow army. Then again, the Cafe is trying to stay out of that affair, and Nicole knows that. So maybe it'll be the standard Cafe fare after all. Which… makes me wonder what she actually needs me to take a look at. Odds are good that it's something idiotic.
